Lois Johns

Lois Elaine Johns, 60, of Winslow, Arkansas went home to be with her Lord & Savior on February 12, 2012 after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer. She was born Lois Elaine Juett on July 27, 1951 in Aurora, Nebraska to Aaron and Imageyne Juett. She spent her first years in Muskogee, OK, then her childhood through early teens in Panama where her parents were missionaries. She lived in the Rio Grande Valley from 1968 till1985, then moved to Houston, and then settled in Winslow, AR in 1990. She graduated from Nebraska Christian High School in 1969 and studied art at Pan American University in Edinburg, TX.. She was a talented & gifted artist. She loved to toll paint, always paying attention to the smallest detail, and signed her art, “Sweet Things by Lois”. She designed an instructional painting book, “Seasonal Scriptures” which was published in 2002 & sold in Hobby Lobby. She loved to read & enjoyed scrap booking. She also spent years researching her family’s genealogy. She loved her family deeply and was Mimi to all her great nieces & nephews. She worked at the Catfish Hole Restaurant in Fayetteville, AR for 10 years till she became ill. She enjoyed meeting customers and decorating the restaurant for holidays. Lois is survived by her daughter, Sonya Johns of Mountainburg, AR, parents, Aaron & Imageyne Juett of Edinburg, TX., brother, Ron Juett & wife Kelly of Victoria, TX, sister Doris Seawell Vanleeuwen & husband Adrian of Pineville, MO, sister Rachel Smith & husband Bart of Georgetown, TX., nieces & nephews Tina Seawell Metzger & husband Jason, Trisa Seawell, Landon Smith & wife Heather, Justin Juett & wife Tiffany, Ashlynn Smith Kelso & husband Clay, Kyle Juett, Grayson Smith & Branson Smith; Great nieces & nephews, Kolby, Emily, Cameren, Kennedy, Kadence, Dylan & Cannon. The family would like to thank the nurses at The Circle of Life Hospice for their tender loving care.
